私の英語ノート 2020/01/17-aで、recommend + should + 動詞　が完全な文章で、recommend + 原型動詞　は省略形と考えればいいと書いた。千田先生は実際はその逆だと指摘された。つまり　recommend + 原型動詞　が先発組で、recommend + should + 動詞　は後発組だと。そして　recommend + 原型動詞　は米国英語、recommend + should + 動詞　は英国英語とも指摘された。さらに、it is important that + 原型動詞、it it necessary that + 原型動詞 の　that + 原型動詞 の部分は米国英語では「しなさい」の命令形、英国英語ではで「するべき」の強い勧誘であると指摘された。下のビデオを例にする。1:32 It's extremely important that we be wary of infection that may be acquired on distant lands that might land on our doorstep これは米国英語の解釈で、「これは極めて重要で、運び込まれるかもしれない遠い国でうつったかもしれない感染症に注意を払いなさい。」英国英語解釈なら　 It's extremely important that we should be wary of infection that may be acquired on distant lands that might land on our doorstep 「これは極めて重要で、運び込まれるかもしれない遠い国でうつったかもしれない感染症に注意を払うべきです。」ニュアンスが違う。
