年寄りはさっさとくたばったほうがいいのだろうか？もちろん、お年寄りには一日でも長く生きていてもらいたいものだ。人口が高齢化するということは大変素晴らしいことだと思う。日本は超高齢化社会に突入したが、日本人の遺伝子がどうのこうのという議論よりも、外国のように人間が簡単に死ねる環境下にないと言ったほうがいいだろう。病気になれば病院に行って治療を受けることが、当たり前になっている。水道水が蛇口からそのまま飲める。食べ物が胃にやさしい。空気がきれい。治安がいい（殺人事件が少ない）、、、、色々な理由付けが出来るが一言で言えば高い文化の恩恵が高齢化、超高齢化社会の実現ということになる。社会の高齢化は infant mortality rate（乳児死亡率）に匹敵する大切数字だと思う。お年寄りを決して粗末にしてはいけない。お年寄りを粗末に扱うことは、親を否定するのと同じ行為だ。さて、久しぶりに安倍首相がいい意味で吠えた。肉体は衰えていてもお年寄りには英知と経験が詰まっている。これを活かす様な社会作りがこれからの日本の課題だろう。0:17 Japan may be aging.
