昨日のことなんだが、私は一人の医師と話をしていた。私は将来通訳の仕事と、医師の診断は、AI に取って代わられるだろう、という話をしていた。正確には現在進行形で、AIが医師の診断や、通訳翻訳を奪っている、だ。ある高名な通訳の先生が、通訳という仕事は日本から無くなるだろう、その理由は、英語を話す日本人が増える（増えてほしい）から、という話を同時通訳者の千田良一先生からお聞きした。、英語を話す日本人が増えるのは間違いないと思うが、通訳職がなくなるのは　AI　によるところが大きい。英語を話す日本人が増える（増えてほしい）からではない。千田先生は「生半可」が危険とおっしゃられた。その通りで、生半可な通訳翻訳は、生半可な　AI に淘汰されつつある。そう、AI も　現時点では、生半可　なのだ。だからこそ、プロの通訳者や翻訳者が必要不可欠だ。、、、、、、、、、と思う。　、、、、、、、、、話はとんでしまったが、この医師との話は、どんなに　AI　が進歩しても、英書を読む醍醐味、映画を字幕なしで堪能できる満足感はなくならないだろう、と結んでおいた。
