もう４０年以上前のことだが、某殺人事件で動機がないのが新聞に載ったことがあったと記憶している。事件には必ず動機があったものだ。だから、この動機なき殺人はニュースでも処理が難しかった。そこで100％確実とはいえないがテロという言葉が初めて出てきたように記憶している。ゴルゴ13の職業は一応テロリストになっているから、多分私の遠い記憶はあたっていると思う。昨日ロンドンで起こった英国版の秋葉原通り魔事件はテロと位置づけられた。昔日本で使っていたテロとは定義がなんとなく違う。多分犯人はあごひげの濃いイスラム圏の男性だったのだろう。アメリカ人が銃で無差別大量殺人行為をすると active shooter と呼ばれる。イスラム圏の男性が同じことをするとテロリストになる。イギリスとアメリカでのテロの定義は人種差別の定義のようだ。0:50 tonight the attack (is) being treated as a terrorist incident. テロ行為と位置づけられた。
