cut off three quarters of Japanese foreign trade. They stole their money and cut off 88% of their imported oil.
They only import 98%. Okay, so they stole your money. they cut off their trade. They got no oil. I can't figure
out why they bombed Pearl Harbor a couple of months later.

アメリカ・イギリス・オランダの三強は、日本の対外貿易の四分の三を遮断した。資産を凍結し、輸入石油の88%を断ち切った。日本の石油輸入依存度は98%だった。つまり、金を盗まれ、貿易を断たれ、石油もない、、、その数ヶ月後に日本軍が真珠湾を攻撃した。その理由が私にはさっぱりわからない。（=どんな馬鹿が考えてもすぐにわかる理屈だ。）注；ちなみに、この「ハワイ作戦」は日本の自衛のための予防的攻撃、アメリカの経済制裁（資産凍結、石油禁輸など）に対するやむを得ない対応で、「奇襲」sneak attack と位置付けているのはアメリカ。
