all men are created equal で一番よく知られたものを紹介しておく。リンカーンが独立宣言からパクッたものだ。0:38 Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. 文法的には four score の部分が一番大切だとおもう。人は皆平等に創られたという提案に捧げられた新しい国、と言う部分が妙に引っかかる。ジェファーソンの意味する　all men にリンカーンが違う意味をこめたのがわかるような気がする。
