通訳は難しいとおもう。そこで、過去このブログに登場した通訳さんがどのように仕事をしているのか、興味がわいた。

このビデオに登場する通訳者は高松珠子氏で、彼女へのインタビュー記事があった。話し手を全力で支える分身　プロ通訳が考えていること 会議通訳者　高松珠子さん（前編）　読み進むうちに、なるほどと思うことばかりで、やはり通訳の仕事は難しいと感じた。このインタビューで、彼女は非常に面白い発言をしている。それは、通訳のテクニカル部分ではなく、アメリカ人としての彼女の世界観だ。だいたい米国人は、世界中の人は上手下手はあっても英語をしゃべると思っていますから、という部分だ。日本社会ではいろいろな理屈で英語を強要されるが、アメリカでは強要される外国語というタガがそもそも存在しないようだ。これはうらやましい。日本も英語強要のような馬鹿なことをせず、もっと日本語教育に力を入れるべきだろう。英語は選択科目、大学の入試から外す、英検やTOEICは廃止、、、、そうすれば、通訳者の単価は上がり、優秀な通訳者が育つだろう。、、、、、、また、人と違うことを言ってしまった。
