champion 僕らの味方チャンピオン

インターネットで探せなかったが、昔タイガーマスクのテーマ曲があった。「タイガーマスクにゃ、敵はない。僕らの味方チャンピオン、僕らの味方チャンピオン。」と言う歌詞だった。僕らの味方チャンピオンが大切な部分、日本語でチャンピオンといえばプロレス、ボクシングなどの世界王者くらいの意味でしかないが、英語のチャンピオンはもっと幅広い意味で使われている。つまり、庶民の味方 と言う日本語にはない意味も含んでいる。動詞のchampion には擁護する、支持する、皆（大義）のために戦う、、くらいの意味がある。1:46 everyday Americans need a champion, and I want to be that champion. アメリカは頼もしい助っ人と求めている。私が助っ人になりましょう。
