Hymenoptera は分類学用語で、ハチ目（ハチもく）膜翅目（まくしもく）のこと。Hymeno/ptera と分ければわかりやすい。 hymen は薄い膜の意味で、ptera　には翼、羽の意味がある。 helicopter ヘリコプターも　helico/pter = helix + pteron　（回転する翼） の合成語。
