モンスターペアレントは和製英語？

過保護者を意味するモンスターペアレントは先生にとっての脅威で和製英語かもしれないが、英語で monster parents といえば子供に理不尽な成績を要求をする親のことで、子供にとっての脅威のこと。つまり、意味が正反対になる。英語で過保護を意味するのは cosseting parents, helicopter parents など。
