今、はやりの quarantine という言葉だが、隔離と検疫の意味で使われている。0:40 did you know, and I just found this out, that the word 'quarantine' comes from the Italian word "quarantina' which means 40 days referring to how long people used to be isolated during the Black Plague. quarantine　と言う単語はイタリア語の40日間を意味する　quarantina　から来ている。quarantina　は黒死病（ペスト）の時に患者を隔離した日数だった。
