subsist 糊口をしのぐ

subsist は細々と暮らす、露命をつなぐ、食いつなぐ、食うや食わずの生活をするくらいの意味です。subsist の名詞形は subsistence です。1:17 it's a special feeling when you've got your food and your bedding on the mountain you can see right out the window when you're in your cabin. that's what subsistence living is. 小屋の窓の外に見える山を背景に肉があり床も確保できているのはなんとも不思議な気持ちだ。これぞ山男の暮らしだ。
