溺れるを英語でなんと言うか？

おぼれるは受動態のように聞こえるが英語では能動態。日本語では受動態のように聞こえても英語で能動態の動詞はいくつかある。drown 溺れる、be drowned 誰かに溺れさせられる、誰かに殺される 2:29 he seemed at home in the sea, but he cannot swim indefinitely. he will drown.
