蛇口を開くを英語でなんと言うか？

蛇口は faucet だから open a faucet で蛇口を開くとなる。確かにアジアの英語公用語国ではそう言っているし、それで正解だと思う。しかし、実際はそのようには言わない。turn on を使い turn on the faucet, turn on the tap, turn on the waterのいづれかになる。0:44 turn on the taps, you can drink, you can shower. オハイオ州トレド市の水道局は飲み水安全宣言を出し、蛇口をひねって、水が飲めるし、シャワーも浴びれると発表した。
