ワクチン競争が激化して、昨日は9月（４０日後の9月）にはワクチンが完成するという報道があった。その報道の根拠となったのが、また、オックスフォード大学だった。あそこは、デキサメタゾンの大発見をしてみたり、ワクチン開発一番乗りを目指したり、、、積極的に何かを模索するのはいいことだが、私には「ストライク・ツー」のようにしか見えない。 1:33 Obviously I'm hopeful, I've got my fingers crossed, but to say that I'm 100% confident that we'll get a vaccine this year, or indeed next year, is, alas, just, you know, an exaggeration.オックスフォード大学のチームがワクチンを完成させてくれることを祈っているが、年内完成とか来年完成というのは、残念だが、ちょっと大袈裟だ。
