take cover(=take shelter)建物の中に逃げ込む。run for cover（安全な所に逃げる）evacuateは何処そこから退避する（けど何処に避難するかは不明）It started to pour so we took cover under the trees, or He wanted to avoid the reporters so we said he could take cover in our summer cottage.のような使い方になります。避難と退避のニュアンスの違いがtake coverとevacuateには見事に出ています。下のビデオではevacuationが国外へ避難するという意味で使われています。
