二都物語について

英語ではA Tale of Two Citiesです。普通のアメリカ人はA Tale of Two Citiesが本の題名であることは知っていますが、その内容についてはまったく知らないと言うのが現状です。ただ漠然と二つ異なるものがあるくらいの認識です。よって、このような本の題名を引き合いに出す人は自分でも何がなんだかわからないまま話をしている可能性が非常に高くなります。本の題名であり確立された意味もあり会話によく登場するのはcatch 22, Wizard of Oz, The Catcher in the Rye,等々です。2:55 Motive power is an interesting story here. tale of two cities, if you will. 新しいBMWの動力はちょっと変わっています。（二つの駆動形式があるので）二都物語とも言うべきでしょうか。
