弔いの式典の献花にはwreath(0:04)というドーナッツの形に組んだ花束を慰霊碑の前に供える(lay 4:42)が普通の言い方です。lay a wreath（名詞形はwreath laying)といいます。other members of the royal family will lay their wreaths このようなwreath laying ceremonyはほぼ間違いなく追悼式です。日本の葬式などではlay (a bunch of)flowersといえそうです。
